[IMCY ACTIVITY REPORT] Deko Maki Sushi Workshop #4

IMCY held the 4th Deko Maki Workshop on 3rd October. The venue was a cooking room in Nishi-ward Chiku Center. (This activity was supported by Nikomachi subsidy,.)

We had a lot of applications to the workshop this time, so we were very happy to know that many mothers were interested in our activity.
This time, we made flower-shaped sushi. It's a basic design and easy to make. We used Oboro, fish meat flakes colored pink, for petals and stick type cheese for the center part. We also put green Nozawana pickles between the petals.
Most of the participants were beginner, but they made lovely Deko Maki.
The instructor also taught us how to make a Jack-o'-Lantern shaped sushi, which we could cook for Halloween Party. To color rice like a pumpkin, she used curry in a retort pouch. I think that lovely, tasty sushi must make kids happy.
Thanks to support by baby-sitters, mothers could spend wonderful time as they talked each other.
I appreciate all the participants, baby-sitters and IMCY volunteer staff. Thank you so much!
